Plenty of companies sell one "general" spray and leave you guessing what it covered. We price the inside and the outside separately, so you pay for the part you actually need — and if you want both, it is simply the two added together with no bundled margin hidden in the middle.
The inside job is skirtings, corners, cornices, window frames, wardrobes and the roof void where it can be reached. The outside job is eaves, window and door frames, the attached garage, and the garden beds, rockeries and retaining walls where ground-dwelling spiders harbour. The outside one is what stops them getting in.

What’s not included
- ×The outside of the house. Inside and outside are priced separately at BFYB — if you want both, the External Spider Spray is added to the same visit and the two are simply added together.
- ×Funnel-webs, which live in burrows outside. No internal spray reaches them; that is the external job.
- ×Spiders that wander in from the garden after treatment are not a treatment failure — an external spray is what stops them at the door.
Common questions
Will this stop funnel-webs?
No treatment makes a property funnel-web safe, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something. Funnel-webs live in burrows, wander in from bush and neighbouring blocks, and do not reliably cross a treated surface. We treat harbourage and reduce the numbers around the house — that is what is honestly achievable.
Do I need inside as well as outside?
If the problem is webs across the eaves and windows, outside alone usually does it. If you are finding them in wardrobes, corners and the roof void, you want the inside too. The technician will give you a straight answer rather than upselling.
Do you knock the webs down?
Yes, as we go, in the areas we treat. Worth knowing that fresh webbing within a few weeks is normal — it is usually new spiders moving in from outside, which is exactly what the external treatment is for.
How long does it last?
The warranty is six months. In practice a treatment is fading by six or seven months in this climate, which is why we offer the next one at a discount at the six-month mark rather than pretending it lasts a year.
