Ants that appear indoors are foragers sent out from a nest that is almost always outside: in a garden bed, under paving, inside a retaining wall or in the sub-floor. Surface sprays from the supermarket kill the scouts and leave the colony untouched, which is why the trail is back within a fortnight.

Common questions
Will this treat termites too?
No. Termites are not ants and they are a different job entirely — they need a timber pest inspection. If you are not sure which you have, send us a photo before booking and we will tell you.
The ants are coming from next door. Can you fix that?
We can treat your property, your entry points and your side of the boundary, and that stops them getting in. We cannot treat a colony on a neighbour's block, so if the nest is over the fence you may keep seeing scouts along the fence line.
Do you treat ants in retaining walls and paving?
Where we can reach them, yes — garden beds, paving joints and wall cavities are all treated as part of the external work. A nest deep inside a slab or a wall that cannot be accessed without excavation is beyond what a treatment can reach, and we will say so.
How long until the trails stop?
Usually within a few days, though you may see a short spike first as the colony is disturbed. Give it four weeks before calling it a failure — and if they are still trailing after that, the warranty covers a return.
